1 · Smile.io

Smile.io: what if you only run points?

The Smile: Loyalty Program Rewards listing on the Shopify App Store, with its summary and screenshots.

You run the points program, and the bill also pays for reviews and a wishlist you never switched on. Smile.io runs points and referrals on their own, free up to 200 orders a month.

Essential, at $15, takes you to 500 orders with a loyalty page, free product rewards and one integration. Standard covers 1,000 orders for $79 with two integrations. Growth costs $199 for 2,500 orders, then $20 per 100 more, and brings VIP tiers, points expiry and unlimited integrations. Each paid plan has a 14-day free trial. Smile.io runs loyalty only, with no reviews or wishlist.

To carry balances over, Smile.io loads a file with two columns, each customer's email and points, through "Adjust points totals" on its Customers page. The import can't be undone, so check the file first.

Best for: points and referrals on their own, starting free.

2 · Sledge

Sledge: can reviews and a wishlist share a plan with your search and filters?

The Sledge Product Filter & Search listing on the Shopify App Store, with its summary and screenshots.

You kept Growave for reviews and the wishlist, and the points program sits idle. Sledge is a Shopify search and filter app that also runs product reviews and a wishlist on every paid plan.

Shoppers leave one to five stars, up to 1,000 characters of text and up to five photos of 10 MB each. Reviews of four and five stars go live on their own by default. Switch off "Enable auto publish", the setting that posts them without you, to read every review first.

From the review list you publish or unpublish any review and reply to it. The Verified badge is one you give by hand, since Sledge doesn't check the purchase. Under "Snippets", the reviews tool's page for stars on products, you can show them in search, collection and product sections. A Happy Customer page gathers store reviews beside product reviews.

The Product Review features in the Sledge admin: Product Reviews, Sidebar Reviews, Happy Customer, Trust Badge, Snippets, Display Settings and Translation, each with a one-line description.
Reviews in Sledge: moderation, a review sidebar, a testimonials page, a trust badge and stars on product cards.

On the wishlist, guests save without an account, and their saves move into their account list when they log in. "Require login" turns guest saves off, and "Variant level" keeps the size and color they picked. The save button can show on collection pages, product pages, the search page and instant search. A shopper can share the whole list by link.

Sledge has no points, referrals or VIP tiers. It sends no review request emails and has no review import, so your Growave reviews stay behind. Each shopper keeps one wishlist, and Sledge sends no wishlist emails. It adds no Google review stars.

To keep those reviews, move them to Judge.me first. Then switch on "Judge.me Product Reviews" under Integration, the page in Sledge's Settings & Support that connects other apps. Judge.me's stars then show on Sledge's product cards in search and collections. You can switch on one review app at a time.

Switch on your review app here, and its stars show on Sledge's product cards.

Reviews and the wishlist come with every paid plan, beside search, filters, bundles and the cart drawer: Pro $29.99, Scale $89.99, Accelerate $199 and Ultimate $399 a month, on Sledge pricing. Start the 14-day free trial to set up both.

Best for: reviews and a wishlist on the plan that runs your search and filters.

3 · Froonze

Froonze: can one app keep all three jobs, VIP tiers included?

The Froonze VIP Loyalty & Wishlist listing on the Shopify App Store, with its Built for Shopify badge, summary and screenshots.

You want a gold tier for your best customers, and the Growave plan that has it costs $199. Froonze lists VIP tiers on its $10 loyalty plan for up to 500 orders, in the same app as a wishlist and reviews.

That $10 plan, Advanced, also lists a referral program, points expiration, Shopify POS and integrations. Loyalty is free under 100 orders a month. Premium costs $30 to 1,000 orders and Unlimited $60, each after a 14-day free trial.

Froonze bills each tool on its own, with no bundle price. Loyalty, reviews and the wishlist cost $30 together at 500 orders and $65 at 1,000. Reviews start at $5 for 100 orders and have no free plan. The wishlist can email shoppers about low stock, restocks and price drops.

To see its wishlist beside seven others, read the Swym Wishlist Plus alternatives.

Best for: Growave's three jobs in one app, paid per tool.

4 · Judge.me

Judge.me: what if reviews are the part you'd miss?

The Judge.me Product Reviews App listing on the Shopify App Store, with its Built for Shopify badge, an award box and screenshots.

You'd rather not pay for reviews at all. Judge.me's free plan collects unlimited product and store reviews, photos and videos included, and imports your old ones from a spreadsheet.

Free also covers its review widgets and syncs reviews with Google, Shop, Etsy and Amazon. Awesome, at $15 a month after a 15-day trial, adds automatic reminders, Q&A, AI replies and summaries, coupons and referrals, and more than 130 integrations, Klaviyo among them.

The import takes Growave's review file on the free plan, once you match its columns to Judge.me's fields. Photos import from their links, up to five per review, and imported reviews aren't marked verified. A review needs written text to import, so star-only reviews stay behind, and so do videos.

Judge.me has no points or wishlist. For more review apps, read the review apps compared, or Sledge vs Judge.me for the two side by side.

Best for: reviews on their own, at no cost.

5 · Rivo

Rivo: is there a written guide for moving Growave points?

The Rivo: Loyalty Program, Rewards listing on the Shopify App Store, with its summary and screenshots.

Your members earned their points on Growave, and those balances have to come with you. Rivo publishes a help guide called "Migrating from Growave" for that move.

In the guide, Growave emails you its rewards report, and you load that file on "CSV Imports", Rivo's page for bringing in a file. The guide confirms that points balances move, and says nothing about VIP tiers, referrals or earning history.

Rivo is free to 200 orders a month, with points and automated email campaigns. Essential, at $15 for 500 orders, adds a loyalty and referral page and two integrations. Scale lists VIP tiers, points expiry and the referral program, at $49 for 400 orders, then $20 per 100 more, capped at $499.

At 1,000 orders, Scale comes to $169. Rivo's App Store plans name no reviews or wishlist. Its own site sells shareable wishlists in a separate product, Accounts, from $499 a month.

Best for: moving Growave points by a written guide.

6 · LoyaltyLion

LoyaltyLion: when do you want a team to build your program?

The LoyaltyLion Loyalty & Rewards listing on the Shopify App Store, with its summary and screenshots.

Your program is getting big, and you want a team to build it with you. LoyaltyLion's Classic plan, $199 a month, comes with a loyalty page design and Klaviyo loyalty flows built for you.

The free plan covers 400 monthly orders. Classic includes 500 orders, unlimited integrations, onboarding and POS locations, after a 14-day free trial. Past 500 orders, its Advanced and Plus plans are by quote.

There's no plan between free and $199. Ask which plan carries VIP tiers before you sign. LoyaltyLion's plans name no reviews or wishlist.

Best for: growing programs that want setup help.

7 · Okendo

Okendo: what if you want one company for reviews, loyalty and referrals?

The Okendo: Reviews & Loyalty listing on the Shopify App Store, with its summary and screenshots.

Splitting Growave's jobs across apps leaves you more than one company to deal with, and you'd rather have one. Okendo's listing describes five connected apps: reviews, loyalty, surveys, quizzes and referrals.

Reviews are free to 50 orders a month, $19 to 200 on Essential, $119 to 1,500 on Growth and $299 to 3,500 on Power. Loyalty and referrals are priced as separate products.

Okendo's pricing page says platform and bundle plans normally need a yearly term. Its listing names no wishlist. For Okendo's loyalty prices, read the Okendo alternatives.

Best for: one company for reviews, loyalty and referrals.

Before you uninstall

How do you take your reviews, points and wishlists out of Growave?

Export first, uninstall second. Reviews show only while the app that holds them is installed. Growave's free plan lists data exports, and its help articles name no plan limit.

  1. In Growave, open "Import/Export", its page for moving data in and out, then the "Export" tab.
  2. Press "Start export" and pick Reviews, Wishlist or Rewards. Under Reviews, choose reviews or questions and answers.
  3. Open the email Growave sends. Its link to the file expires in 7 days.

The reviews file keeps each rating, the text, your reply, photo links and whether it was published. In the wishlist file, each shopper's email, or "Guest", sits beside the product, size or color and list name, with no date. The rewards file holds each balance, points earned, spent and expired, VIP tier and referral count, with no join dates.

Judge.me's free import takes the reviews, under Settings, then "Import reviews", leaving star-only reviews and videos behind. Points balances go to Smile.io by file, or to Rivo's import page. Sledge takes no review file.

To keep your reviews and show their stars on Sledge's product cards, import them into Judge.me, then switch Judge.me on in Sledge's Integration page.

Where to start

Which products need reviews first?

Start with the products that sell and show no stars. Say 30 of your 40 products have no review, and reviews on them bring 10 more orders a month at $45 each. Your own math says $450 a month.

Growth Intelligence turns on when you pick a paid plan. Once your store has 50 orders in the period it reads, it flags your store when fewer than 3 in 10 products have a published review in Sledge, as in that example. It also flags a wishlist with 20 or more saves in 7 days where fewer than 1 in 10 saved products reach a cart.

Its fixes add up to one estimated dollar total in your admin, labeled "Est. potential". Install Sledge free for 14 days, then pick a paid plan to see yours.

What is the best Growave alternative for Shopify?

It depends on which Growave job you keep. Smile.io runs points and referrals, free up to 200 orders a month. Judge.me collects unlimited reviews for free. Sledge runs reviews and a wishlist with your search and filters, from $29.99 a month. Froonze keeps all three jobs in one app, at $10 a tool for 500 orders.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Growave?

For VIP tiers, yes: Froonze's loyalty, reviews and wishlist cost $30 together at 500 orders, tiers included, and Growave's tiers need its $199 Growth plan. Without tiers, Growave Entry costs $15 at 500 orders, the same as Smile.io's $15 plan plus Judge.me's free plan, which cover points, referrals and reviews. At 1,000 orders, Entry reaches $115, against $79 for Smile.io plus Judge.me and $65 for Froonze.

Growave vs Smile.io: which should you pick?

Pick by the jobs you run. Smile.io does loyalty alone: points and referrals free to 200 orders, $15 to 500, with VIP tiers on its $199 Growth plan. Growave adds reviews and a wishlist, costs $15 for 500 orders and $20 for each 100 more, and keeps its VIP tiers on a $199 plan too.

Can I move my Growave reviews to another app?

Yes. In Growave, open Import/Export, the Export tab, then Start export, and choose Reviews. The file's link arrives by email and works for 7 days. Judge.me takes it on its free plan, under Settings, then Import reviews, with up to five photos per review. Reviews with no text, and videos, stay behind. Sledge has no review import.

Does Sledge have a loyalty or referral program?

No. Sledge has no points, referrals or VIP tiers. It runs product reviews with photos and a wishlist on every paid plan, next to search, filters, bundles and the cart drawer. To keep a points program, run Smile.io, Rivo or Froonze beside it. Eight Shopify loyalty apps, those three included, show where each free plan stops. Sledge starts at $29.99 a month after a 14-day free trial.

Is Yotpo a Growave alternative?

For two of its jobs, as two separate apps. Yotpo Reviews is free up to 50 orders a month, then priced by order volume. Yotpo Loyalty is free under 100 orders a month, referrals included, and its Pro plan lists $199 a month with per-order pricing from 500 orders. Seven Yotpo alternatives compare the reviews side.

Put one estimated dollar total on your review and wishlist fixes

On any paid plan, Growth Intelligence can flag a store where fewer than 3 in 10 products have a Sledge review, or wishlist saves that rarely reach a cart, and adds every open fix into one estimated dollar total, “Est. potential”.
