What is a bundle discount?
A bundle discount is the price cut a shopper gets for buying products together instead of one at a time. Buy the set, pay less than the sum of the parts. The shopper gets a reason to add more, and you sell two or three products where you would have sold one.
How does a bundle discount work?
Say you sell a shirt at $40, pants at $50, and a belt at $20: $110 apart. Offer the three as a set for $95 and a shopper who came for the shirt walks away with the whole outfit. You gave up $15, but you turned a $40 order into a $95 one.
A percent off works too. Take 10% off a $45 yoga mat, a $35 foam roller, and a $20 strap bought together, and the shopper who came for the mat pays $90 for all three. Either way, the discount is the reason the shopper says yes to the extra items. Without it, the mat buyer checks out at $45.
On Shopify stores
A bundle discount can appear as a "buy together and save" offer on the product page or in the cart. The promise has to hold at checkout: the set rings up at the bundle price automatically, with no code to type. In Shopify's free Bundles app, a fixed bundle keeps its price when a component's price changes. Raise the shirt to $45 and the outfit still sells for $95, so you give away $20 instead of $15.
Bundle discounts with Sledge
Sledge Bundles run the discount as a fixed bundle, a volume tier, or a Buy X Get Y offer, three of nine offer types. They sell where shoppers decide: instant search, search results, collections, and product pages. On Pro and up, Growth Intelligence reads your orders and names the next bundle worth creating, like "Bundle these two, about $640 a month," then measures the result against real sales.
