What is a BYOB bundle?

A BYOB bundle, build your own bundle, is a dedicated builder where shoppers fill a box from products you choose. You set the minimum, the maximum, and a discount that grows as the box fills: 10% off four items, 15% off six. The fuller the box, the better the deal.

How does a build-your-own bundle work?

Say you sell snacks at $6 a pouch. Your builder takes four to eight pouches: four or more earns 10% off, six or more earns 15%. A shopper fills six pouches: $36 of snacks for $30.60. They started at four, saw the next tier two pouches away, and kept going. That's the builder's quiet trick: the discount ladder turns "enough" into "two more."

BYOB vs mix and match: what's the difference?

Mix and match is the close cousin: the shopper picks a fixed count from a set, any three tees for $69, usually right on the product page. A build-your-own bundle is a destination. It gets its own builder page, a quantity range instead of one number, and a discount that climbs tier by tier.

On Shopify stores

A BYOB bundle is usually a page of its own: a product grid, a box that fills as the shopper picks, a progress bar pointing at the next discount tier, and one add-to-cart for the whole box. You set a minimum that protects margin, a maximum that protects shipping, and tiers that sit just past the typical order size. Coffee, snacks, candles, socks: anything shoppers enjoy assembling works.

Build-your-own with Sledge

Build-your-own is one of nine offer types in Sledge Bundles, with minimums, maximums, and a discount that climbs as the box fills. Bundles sell on product pages, in collections, in search results, and in the cart. And built-in Growth Intelligence reads your store's own order patterns to suggest what belongs in the box, estimates the monthly impact in dollars, then measures the result against real sales.
