What is a wishlist?
A wishlist lets a shopper save products to come back to, without buying them yet. A heart or "Save" button on the product and collection card adds the item to a personal list. It catches the interest that is real but not ready, so a "maybe later" has somewhere to live instead of being forgotten.
Example
Say a shopper likes a $120 coat but wants to think it over. Without a wishlist, she closes the tab and forgets it by dinner. With one, she taps the heart and the coat waits on her list. Two days later it is one tap away, and she buys. The wishlist did not create the sale; it kept the door from closing on one already half-open.
The saved list is also a signal: the products shoppers keep saving are strong candidates for the next email or promotion.
On Shopify stores
On a Shopify store, a wishlist shows as a heart or save icon on product pages and collection cards, plus a saved-items page the shopper can return to. For signed-in shoppers the list follows them across devices, so a coat saved on a phone is still there on a laptop. A reminder that a saved item is low in stock, or now on sale, turns a quiet save into a return visit and an order.
